Performance / Production Record and Other Information
FLASH! Triple Cutter BIll has moved to the Burgess-Herring Ranch, Stinnett, Texas, where he will begin standing at stud in May, 2006. He will be used by C. C. Burgess, Burgess-Herring Ranch owner and Jim Scudday, Burgess-Herring Ranch manager, to reintroduce the Golden Chief blood back into their breeding program.
I'm currently developing a breeding program around this young stallion, Triple Cutter Bill, and a select band of mares that form the base of my breeding program. Included are two granddaughters of Continental King, a grand-daughter of Cutter Bill, a linebred Leo San mare and a granddaughter of Doc’s Hickory.
With considerable interest, I have studied the great early AQHA breeder, R. L. Underwood, who based his breeding program on the Copperbottom bred stallion, Golden Chief. Copperbottom was the foundation sire of the second oldest family of the modern Quarter Horse. The Copperbottom’s were noted cow horses of early Texas, and the greatest contributor to the modern Copperbottom branch is the AQHA Hall of Fame stallion, Cutter Bill. Our new young stallion carries three crosses to Cutter Bill, and is our link to this great bloodline and our efforts to perpetuate this line of horses. Triple Cutter Bill entered the breeding pen in 2005 to pass on his valuable "CUTTER BILL" genes to the next generation.
TRIPLE CUTTER BILL, 2002 Palomino Colt, entered the breeding pen in 2005 to pass on his valuable "CUTTER BILL" genes to the next generation. His dam is a half sister to GOOD LOOKING MAN, who earned 61 AQHA performance points. This colt comes from the female family of SKIPA LINDY STREAK, 1981 AQHA World Champion Two-Year-Old Halter Stallion and STREAKS SISTER,
